FAQ

1. Do you offer family nutrition counseling?

Yes! The Dietitian's Fix offers family nutrition counseling. Families come in all forms but what matters the most is that if you and your family are looking for ways to better your health as a group then you've come to the right place. Most often Samantha Huber, RDN sees families for weight loss, overall healthy eating, and education on how to structure a healthy diet in the house and outside of the house. Samantha has worked with families seeking nutrition counseling in other areas but those are the most popular. If you have any questions about family nutrition counseling please visit the Contact page and message Samantha directly.

2. How many appointments does a patient typically see you for?

The answer to this question varies, and this is because it depends on what a patient is being seen for. The minimum amount of times Samantha has seen a patient is 3 sessions and the maximum amount of times she has seen a patient is 8 months. The number of appointments typically depends on a patients treatment plan.

3. Do you see patients for only 1 appointment?

Samantha tells all her new patients that in order to make progress it is best to be seen for at least two sessions. However, she does not require two sessions. A patient can book only one appointment if that is all he/she feels they need.

The only exception to this is patients seeking weight loss. Samantha will not book with a patient who is looking for help with weight loss one time. This is merely because it is impossible to make sustainable weight loss changes happen in one visit. Samantha approaches weight loss in many different ways in her practice, and some of those approaches are a 6 month process. Looking for help with weight loss and have more questions on the number of appointments you might need? Book a FREE 15 minute consultation with Samantha by visiting her Contact page.

4. I am someone who needs consistent accountability while working towards a goal.  Is this something you can help me with?

Yes! Samantha offers accountability check-ins with patients via phone call, email, or text message once a week or twice a week in between appointments. This service is not covered by insurance and is considered an a la carte service. If this is something you are interested in as part of your treatment plan Samantha will discuss pricing with you at your first appointment, or through a FREE 15 minute nutrition consultation over the phone.
