Maddy Southern BesserHello! My name is Maddy, and I have a deep passion for not only living a healthy lifestyle but also helping others achieve the same. I have been in the fitness industry for over 14 years, leading group fitness classes and personal training sessions. Over the years, I’ve found that fitness can be one of the most challenging yet fulfilling and rewarding aspects of life. I hope to inspire and help others find their own passion for movement. My experience spans rowing, cycling, TRX, HIIT, strength training, stretching, Pilates, kickboxing, choreographed classes, and more. To me, fitness is truly more mental than physical. Meaghan SmithHi Everyone! I am Meaghan, and I am a mama to two crazy toddlers,4 &2! Being a mom of toddlers and a group fitness boot camp instructor is a constant balancing act. The energy and patience required to keep up with little ones at home, translates into the drive and motivation needed to lead a group of adults through intense workouts. The constant juggle of motherhood sharpens multitasking skills, which comes in handy when coordinating exercises and encouraging participants. The demands of motherhood fuels a deep understanding of the importance of health and wellness, making the role of a fitness instructor even more meaningful. It’s about finding strength in the chaos and inspiring others to do the same.
Dolores EverettHi, I'm Dolores! My fitness journey started at a young age but truly took off after my sister and I participated in a fitness aerobic competition class. We won, and that marked the beginning of my journey as an instructor. My journey continued as I moved from NY to PA and discovered my passion for helping others through fitness. The women I met along the way helped me adjust to my move, a divorce, single parenting, and the challenges of building friendships. While I thought I was helping them, they were actually helping me. I continue to educate myself, acquire certifications, and learn as much as I can about our bodies. I’ve been married to Todd for 33 years, am a mom of four children, have one granddaughter, and three fur babies. My training philosophy is: "Your body is an amazing vessel, and you only get one."
Katy CaseHello, I’m Katy, a 500-hour certified yoga instructor. I was introduced to yoga by a friend while looking for ways to stretch after cycling and running. It wasn’t until I stepped away from who I thought I needed to be and found my inner voice that I discovered how yoga offered me a chance to slow down from my hectic day-to-day life, reconnect with myself, and find stillness amidst the chaos of my overactive mind. I’ve come to realize that without taking time to care for the person within, the physical body is on a constant spinning wheel with no off switch. For me, yoga is that off switch.
Off the mat, I’m passionate about biking on local rail-trails. I enjoy spending time with friends along the McDade Trail, D&L Trail, Lehigh Gorge, and am always up for exploring new routes that come my way. |
